Heavy Equipment Operator/foreman

I started off as a heavy equipment operator, clearing right of way with a dozer/motorgrader. Dig ditch with an excavator and dig out cross lines, lower in pipe into the ditch and backfill the ditch once ready. Then got moved to a foreman position, now I make one calls, handle line reps, and handle the company reps. Make sure my guys are lined out and know what the daily task is. I do JSAs, bell hole reports, test the air for any dangerous gases. Do the paperwork for daily tasks and send in my reports.

I start off as a laborer, assisting in fusing poly pipe, assisting on steel jobs, then eventually worked my way to an equipment operator. From there I would assist the foreman in the morning JSA, tailgate meetings. Then preform the daily tasks of, servicing equipment, digging out cross lines, clearing right of way, back filling, and pulling topsoil back in.

My daily tasks consisted of, mass excavation, mass grading, installing drainage systems, checking grade, etc. I also learned the skill to run gps systems to lay out the building aspects of the building or parking lots.

I ran a 988k loader, feeding the rock crusher and loading haul trucks. I would also load trucks with gravel/ dirt/etc as they pulled in for a load.
