Essential Job Functions:

• Support a philosophy of zero accidents by following all applicable safety procedures and maintaining equipment to operate in the safest way possible
• Adhere to company policies, procedures, and rules
• Fabricate new metal components with supervision in accordance with supplied drawings, WPS, and PQR with all applicable standards of safety and performance
• Must understand Mig and Flux core welding operations
• The ability to set up, adjust, and maintain welding equipment with supervision
• Knowledge of occupational hazards and safety precautions applicable to the welding trade
• Maintain tools and equipment to a professional standard. Keep workstation clean and orderly to retain a safe and operational work environment
• Execute welds in a professional manner, examine work pieces with supervisor for defects, and measure work pieces with tape measure, verify fit form and function using level, straightedges, square or templates to ensure conformance with specifications
• Work with supervision or with a small team of other welders to complete large and complex projects.
• Employ physical strength and endurance to complete all welding tasks
• Maintain a positive, team-oriented attitude
• Flexibility to work hours necessary to meet plant requirements

Required:

• Ability to read and write
• Ability to pass 3G plate welding test
• Basic mathematical skills
• Attention to detail
• Must show participation in workplace safety observation checks
• Demonstrates overall good and safe working knowledge of welding to include changing wire spool, maintaining gun, adjust welder settings
• Completes jobs within budgeted hours in a safe manner and per quality standards Ability to understand and adhere to welding procedures
• Visual inspection of welds must adhere to our client's Quality Standards of work
• Completes jobs within budgeted hours in a safe manner and per quality standards
• Must adhere to our client’s safety and quality standards
• Ability to read blueprints and understand weld symbols Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship
• No relocation benefit is being offered for this position

• 1 year minimum of related work experience
