Job Description:

As a Transformer Service Technician, you will lead our team in the assembly, vacuum oil fill, testing, and maintenance of transformers. This role primarily involves outdoor work, often in various weather conditions. You'll be required to handle moderate to heavy physical tasks while ensuring strict adherence to electrical safety protocols. You will be responsible for travel, with all travel-related expenses covered, including per diem, company - provided vehicle, gas, and more.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform assembly, repair, and maintenance tasks on transformers and substation equipment.
  • Conduct mechanical and electrical connections and operate oil processors for transformers.
  • Perform transformer tests such as Doble and Megger.
  • Carry out oil processing (vacuum filling, retro-filling, reclamation) and assembly/disassembly of transformers.
  • Interface directly with customers throughout project timelines.
  • Complete accurate project documentation and reports.
  • Supervise and support the team to ensure high-quality, safe, and timely completion of tasks.

Requirements:

  • Experience with transformers and substation apparatus.
  • Ability to complete transformer tests using Doble, Megger, and similar equipment.
  • Willingness to travel extensively for projects in and out of Pensacola, Florida.
  • Strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Ability to pass drug and alcohol screening, with a clean criminal background check.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license (CDL considered an asset).
  • Proficiency with technology for reporting and documentation.
