What part will you play?
· Our Client is seeking a highly motivated, bilingual (Spanish-speaking) individual to join our Operations team as a Solar Roof Technical Trainer. The Solar Roof Technical Trainer is a field role accountable for delivering solar roof installation training to construction professionals. This role requires deep technical knowledge and prior experience in the roofing and/or solar sectors.
· This position is based in Western Pennsylvania but has a national scope.
· This role is responsible for providing hands-on technical training on job sites as well as instructor-led training in virtual classrooms.
· The ideal candidate must enjoy collaboration across multiple teams to support the business. As our client grows, the Solar Roof Technical Trainer will be a key contributor in implementing flexible and sustainable field training processes to ensure the optimum customer experience.
What will you be doing?
· 60-75%: Delivering hands-on, in-person, on-rooftop training for contractors learning to install our client solar products on live job sites (frequent travel required)
· 15-25%: Assisting with the development of solar roof technical installation training resources and online courses for remote consumption
o Cultivating a holistic view of performance problems, identifying root causes, and suggesting training-based solutions
· 5-10%: Performing other duties as assigned
What do we require from you?
· BA/BS or equivalent work history in Construction Management, Business Administration, Education, and/or related field
· Deep technical knowledge and experience in the roofing and/or solar industries
· Must be fluent in both English and Spanish
· Familiarity with training concepts, methods, and techniques utilized in adult education
· Proficiency in standard office and presentation software
· Project management finesse, including the ability to facilitate organizing and managing multiple priorities, people, and projects
· Strong communication skills across a wide variety of settings and audiences
· Adaptable, personable, innovative, high tolerance for ambiguity and pressure
· Comfortable working as a team player in a startup environment where no job is too small
· Able to lift a minimum of 15-20+ pounds in equipment and tools
· Must be able to wear ANSI rated harness, climb Type 1A ladders, and perform work at heights using safety equipment rated for 310 lbs
· Willing to travel regionally and nationally up to 75%; drivers license required

· Must be able to sit in a sedentary position for a prolonged period of time, especially while driving.

· Must be able to walk, stand and maintain balance on sloped surfaces such as roofs.
· Frequent sitting, walking, standing, and occasional climbing; stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, and balancing.
· Frequent use of eye, hand and finger coordination enabling the use of tools and equipment.
