Responsibilities

· The Solar Quality Control Inspector plays a vital role in the renewable energy industry by ensuring the quality, performance, and safety of solar power systems

· They are responsible for inspecting and assessing solar installations to verify compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations

· Their primary goal is to ensure that solar energy systems are functioning efficiently, effectively, and safely

· Conduct comprehensive inspections and measurements of solar system components, including civil, structural, and electrical scopes of work

· Monitor various tests to ensure both testing and test results meet or exceed all standards and expectations

· Ensure compliance with applicable regulatory requirements and industry standards

· Maintain accurate records of inspection findings, test results, and compliance documentation

· Prepare detailed reports outlining any deficiencies or areas of improvement and provide recommendations for corrective actions

· Assess the quality of materials, equipment, and workmanship involved in installations

· Identify any deviations from the specified standards and ensure that appropriate corrective measures are implemented

· Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering, production, and supply chain, to resolve quality-related issues and improve overall product quality

· Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring proper storage and handling of inspected products and equipment

· Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment

Qualifications

  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Experience in quality control or inspection, preferably in the renewable energy industry

Proficiency in using inspection tools and equipment

Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify defects or deviations from specifications

Good analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Be coachable and accept constructive criticism as part of professional growth

Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively

Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time in an outside environment on project; subject to heat/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions

This position is primarily spent outdoors with the construction team
