We are actively seeking an experienced Quality Control Manager to lead and manage the Quality Control (QC) Program for ongoing federal construction projects in Gig Harbor, WA. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the QC process—from commissioning through closeout—ensuring compliance with project specifications and government standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and manage the commissioning process including startup plans, schedules, and functional testing

- Oversee inspections to ensure work meets project specifications and client expectations

- Implement and manage the full Quality Control Program

- Organize and lead meetings with owners, subcontractors, and project teams

- Coordinate and document all pre-installation meetings and inspections

- Manage QC Specialists, testing personnel, and inspection teams

- Conduct weekly quality meetings and participate in subcontractor meetings

- Review and approve submittals and shop drawings

- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all QC activities

- Serve as the primary quality liaison between the client and project team

Qualifications:

Required Experience:

- Minimum 6 years of QC/QA experience in construction

- Direct experience working on federal construction projects

- Proven leadership and mentoring capabilities

- Strong background in fast-paced construction environments

Preferred Education:

- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or Architectural Engineering

- Equivalent experience may be considered

Skills & Abilities:

- Deep understanding of construction drawings and documents

- Strong organizational, verbal, and written communication skills

- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines

- Knowledge of job site safety standards and best practices

- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, and analytical skills

Technology Requirements:

- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

- Experience using Procore and Bluebeam preferred

- Familiarity with Apple products (iPhone, iPad)
