JOB DUTIES
· Studying job drawings and specifications to ensure appropriate construction
· methods.
· Determining labor requirements and coordinate with Branch Manager or
· COO.
· Selecting, contracting, and overseeing workers and subcontractors who
· complete specific pieces of the project.
· Minimizing follow up service calls due to faulty or errant installations.
· Assuring compliance with all Federal, State, and Local health and safety law,
· (OSHA), (MSHA), ordinances, and policies.
· Obtaining necessary signatures and assuring the accurate and timely
· completion of all change orders.
· Preparing and completing project startup and closeout documents including
· but not limited to, Submittals, Redlined Drawings, O&M’s, Product
· Documentation, Delivery schedules, Subcontractor Agreements, and As-built
· Drawings.
· Obtaining written approval from General Contractor or Owner to stop or
· modify work orders. Prepare and negotiate changes and additions with
· consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
· Assuring the satisfaction of each General Contractor and/or Customer
· Assuring the satisfaction of each General Contractor and/or Customer to build
· relationships and promote future project opportunities.
· Assuring the highest standards of quality in the work performed.
· Assuring that project completion information is submitted to the Accounting
· Department in a timely fashion.
· Assuring the satisfactory and equitable resolution of Customer complaints
· without involvement of the Branch Manager or COO.
· Assuring the ongoing job training of all field personnel.
· Assuring that personal industry knowledge is current to the needs of the
· company.
· Assuring the enforcement of all company policies and procedures.
· Assuring that waste products are properly disposed of and job sites are left in
· an acceptable condition.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, AND ATTRIBUTES
Education
Required: A high school diploma or equivalent.
Required: Must possess an “active” State Licensed Journeyman Electrician,
Master Electrician, or a degree in Electrical Engineering or Project Management.
Required: Must possess, at a minimum, a Class B Commercial Driver’s License
within 6 Months of acceptance. DOT Medical Card.
Preferred: Minimum of MSHA Surface Electrical Certification within 1 Year of
acceptance.
Experience
· Prefers above requirement plus five years experience as a Journeyman
· Electrician and three years of supervisory responsibility.
· Requires ability to operate a Windows based computer operating system and
· Microsoft Office software with a particular emphasis in Excel.
· Requires the ability to read and interpret project blueprints (all trades) and other
· building documents such as specification manuals, contracts, etc.
· Skills, Knowledge and Abilities
· Must stay up to date with changes in the equipment and products in the electrical
· industry. Must be willing and able to do hands on work (when necessary) as well
· as supervise.
· The physical requirements consist of extended periods of standing, bending, and
· stooping, turning the head and torso, reaching grasping, bending and flexing the
· arms, legs, wrists, hands, and fingers. The senses of sight, hearing and smell as
· well as having full power of speech are required. The ability to climb and balance
· is essential. Must be able to lift in excess of sixty (60) pounds on occasion.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Will work on the project site area that may not be climate controlled and is subject to
extremes of heat, humidity, and cold. Work will be performed near moving machines
and in, sometimes, hazardous conditions. There is physical risk if the work is not
carefully performed and there can be exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and
sometimes high and hazardous places.
Will be required to go out on some service calls to the customers’ premises. The
conditions at these premises are not within the control of BODEC. However, if the
conditions are not safe, the Project Manager may refuse authorization to perform the
work.
High School Diploma
