Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Pipe Layer with experience in water, sewer, and storm drain installation for commercial, residential, and public infrastructure projects throughout the Baltimore–Washington Area region. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of underground utility systems, trench safety, and blueprint interpretation.

Responsibilities:

• Install water, sewer, and storm drain pipes using appropriate tools and methods
• Grade and level trenches to precise slopes and depths per project specifications
• Assemble, seal, and align pipe sections using laser or transit grade instruments
• Follow OSHA and MDE trench safety standards and sediment control practices
• Collaborate with equipment operators, laborers, and foremen for efficient workflow
• Maintain daily documentation and communicate site conditions or hazards
• Assist with backfilling, compacting, and testing pipelines as needed

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• 3+ years of pipe laying experience in site development or heavy civil construction
• Familiarity with PVC, RCP, and ductile iron pipe installation
• Ability to read blueprints, grade stakes, and pipe-laying plans
• Proficiency in using pipe lasers, trench boxes, and hand/power tools
• Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills
• Reliable transportation and commitment to punctual attendance

Preferred Certifications (not required but valued):

• MDE Responsible Personnel Certification
• OSHA 10 or 30 Certification
• Confined Space Entry Training
• Flagger or First Aid/CPR certification
