The O&M Project Manager will oversee the operations, maintenance, and renewal activities of a large-scale flood diversion infrastructure project. This role involves ensuring the project's long-term functionality, safety, and compliance with regulatory standards. The manager will coordinate with various stakeholders, including contractors, engineers, and public entities, to maintain the infrastructure's integrity and performance over its lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operational Oversight: Manage daily operations and maintenance activities, ensuring adherence to project specifications and regulatory requirements.
  • Contractor Coordination: Supervise and coordinate with contractors performing maintenance and renewal work, ensuring quality and timely completion.
  • Inspection and Reporting: Conduct regular inspections of the diversion channel, drainage structures, and associated facilities. Document findings and report significant issues promptly.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Liaise with public stakeholders, adjacent landowners, and utility companies to facilitate project operations and address concerns.
  • Emergency Response: Participate in local flood response activities and coordinate with emergency management agencies as needed.
  • Quality Management: Contribute to the development and refinement of the project's Quality Management System, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Work Order Management: Identify facility deficiencies, prepare work orders for repairs, and oversee their execution.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure all operations and maintenance activities comply with environmental, safety, and other regulatory standards.

 Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years in operations and maintenance management within large infrastructure or civil engineering projects.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in maintenance management systems and familiarity with infrastructure inspection techniques.
  • Communication: Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
  • Problem-Solving: Ability to identify issues proactively and implement effective solutions.
  • Certifications: Relevant certifications in project management or operations management are advantageous.

Preferred Qualifications

  • P3 Experience: Experience working on public-private partnership projects.
  • Flood Management: Knowledge of flood control systems and related infrastructure.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with federal and state regulations pertaining to infrastructure maintenance and environmental compliance.
