Responsibilities:

● Conduct relay testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting on various types of relays and

protection systems.

● Perform commissioning and maintenance of protective relays in substations and power

plants.

● Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all testing and

maintenance activities.

● Interpret and work from electrical schematics, diagrams, and technical manuals.

● Utilize test equipment to conduct performance tests on electrical relay systems.

● Document and report test results, maintenance activities, and any discrepancies found.

● Collaborate with engineers and other technical staff to resolve complex issues.

● Participate in the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs.

● Provide technical support and guidance to junior technicians and other team members.

Requirements:

● High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or technical certification in electrical

technology or a related field is preferred.

● Minimum of 5 years of experience in relay testing, maintenance, and troubleshooting.

● Proficiency in using relay test equipment and diagnostic tools.

● Strong understanding of electrical protection principles and relay operation.

● Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.

● Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

● Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

● Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

● Willingness to travel to various job sites as required.

● Valid driver's license.

Preferred Qualifications:

● Experience with specific relay test equipment brands and models.

● Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to relay testing and

maintenance.
