Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Mid-Level P6 Scheduler to join our team and support projects within refineries and chemical facilities in Texas. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and updating detailed project schedules using Primavera P6. This position requires a strong understanding of refinery and chemical plant operations, turnaround schedules, and resource optimization. The scheduler will collaborate with engineering, operations, and contractors to ensure project success while adhering to safety and compliance standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Schedule Development:

·        Create and maintain detailed, resource-loaded schedules using Primavera P6.

·        Break down high-level project plans into executable tasks with clear milestones and deliverables.

Resource Management:

·        Assign and optimize resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to meet project demands.

·        Monitor resource constraints and collaborate with stakeholders to resolve issues.

Progress Monitoring & Updates:

·        Track project progress against the baseline schedule, identifying deviations and proposing corrective actions.

·        Regularly update the schedule to reflect changes in project scope, delays, or unexpected challenges.

Critical Path Analysis:

·        Identify critical path activities and ensure their timely completion to avoid project delays.

·        Perform schedule risk analysis and develop mitigation strategies.

Collaboration & Coordination:

·        Work closely with operations teams, engineers, contractors, and safety personnel to ensure alignment on project objectives.

·        Coordinate schedules with live operations to avoid disruptions to ongoing processes.

Reporting:

·        Generate detailed schedule reports, progress summaries, and dashboards for stakeholders.

·        Communicate schedule updates during project meetings.

Compliance & Safety:

·        Integrate safety and regulatory compliance steps into the project schedule.

·        Ensure all activities adhere to OSHA, EPA, and site-specific safety standards.

 

Qualifications:

Education:

·        Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred) OR equivalent experience.

 

Experience:

·        3–7 years of scheduling experience in refineries, chemical facilities, or heavy industrial projects.

·        Hands-on experience with Primavera P6 (mandatory).

 

 

Technical Skills:

·        Strong understanding of Critical Path Methodology (CPM) and resource optimization.

·        Proficiency in MS Office Suite and scheduling/reporting tools.

 

Knowledge:

·        Familiarity with refinery processes (e.g., distillation, cracking, maintenance turnarounds).

·        Understanding of safety protocols and regulatory compliance requirements.

 

Soft Skills:

·        Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

·        Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

·        Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

 

Additional Information:

Work Environment:

·        On-site at refineries and chemical plants in Texas.

·        May involve exposure to industrial environments, including noise, heat, and confined spaces.

 

Travel:

·        Must be willing to travel to various project sites within Texas.

 

Schedule:

·        Full-time position with potential for overtime during critical project phases (e.g., turnarounds).
