Responsibilities
Locate and open manholes.
Conduct internal manhole inspections in accordance with the National Association of Sewer Service Companies (NASSCO) Manhole Assessment Certification Program (MACP).
Capture, record, and report external features.
Document wastewater features.
Document traffic control and environmentally sensitive area access.
Identify and document all exposed manholes, manholes in danger of failure, manhole surcharges, manhole overflows, or manhole exfiltration.
Report overflowing or surcharged manholes immediately.
Capture the condition of all incoming and outgoing pipes, including line capacity-reducing problems and structural defects.
Prepare and submit daily progress reports.
Liaison with homeowners and business owners.
Perform office support functions.
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent.
2+ years of manhole inspection experience.
NASSCO MACP certification.
Possess a valid driver's license.
Must be able to lift 50 pounds on occasion.
Must be able to walk over rough and uneven terrain and be able to stand up to 12 hours a day on occasion.
Must have the ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and twist; use hands to grasp; use arms to reach; raise hands above head; sit; climb; and balance.
Preferred Requirements
NASSCO Pipeline Assessment Certification Program (PACP), Lateral Assessment Certification Program (LACP), and/or Inspector Training Certification Program (ITCP) certification
Confined space training
WSSC Water experience
