Responsibilities

• Locate and open manholes.
• Conduct internal manhole inspections in accordance with the National Association of Sewer Service Companies (NASSCO) Manhole Assessment Certification Program (MACP).
• Capture, record, and report external features.
• Document wastewater features.
• Document traffic control and environmentally sensitive area access.
• Identify and document all exposed manholes, manholes in danger of failure, manhole surcharges, manhole overflows, or manhole exfiltration.
• Report overflowing or surcharged manholes immediately.
• Capture the condition of all incoming and outgoing pipes, including line capacity-reducing problems and structural defects.
• Prepare and submit daily progress reports.
• Liaison with homeowners and business owners.
• Perform office support functions.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of manhole inspection experience.
• NASSCO MACP certification.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds on occasion.
• Must be able to walk over rough and uneven terrain and be able to stand up to 12 hours a day on occasion.
• Must have the ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and twist; use hands to grasp; use arms to reach; raise hands above head; sit; climb; and balance.

Preferred Requirements

• NASSCO Pipeline Assessment Certification Program (PACP), Lateral Assessment Certification Program (LACP), and/or Inspector Training Certification Program (ITCP) certification
• Confined space training
• WSSC Water experience
