job.description: Responsibilities
- Assist in the full upkeep of the preventative maintenance, including the keeping of logs on work done, scheduling and the assignment of projects and other related tasks.
- Assist in the procurement of supplies and the issuance of purchase orders.
- Review work requests and assign work by priorities.
- Maintain up-to-date inventories of repair and maintenance supplies.
- Work with the Management on a shift basis and coordinates their activities.
- Assume the full responsibility for the Engineering Department
- Have a thorough understanding of Woodville Pellets’ fire alarm procedures and emergency evacuation.
- Have a thorough understanding of Woodville Pellets’ job scenarios.
- Develop and implement an Engineering SOP for Woodville Pellets’.
- Must be familiar with Woodville Pellets’ Systems and procedures.
Minimum Qualifications:
Education
- BS in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering Degree or Business Management Degree
Experience
- Must have HVAC and mechanical experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule to include nights, weekends and holidays.
- 3-5 years of Maintenance Engineering experience preference
- Experience managing a crew of 5 or more.
Physical Demands of Position
- Ability to travel up to 25%
- Move, bend, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Stand, walk or sit for an extended period or for an entire work shift.
- Requires repetitive motion, including utilizing telephone/computer for an extended period or for an entire shift.
Working Environment
The Maintenance and Engineering Manager position is expected to work on average a 40-hour work week with extended hours, including holidays, as needed
