We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Lead Mechanic with a focus on

environmental operations to join our dynamic team in Montgomery

County, Maryland. Our organization provides innovative solutions and

services in the environmental sector, focusing on areas such as water,

waste, and energy. We are committed to making a positive

lead our mechanical operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform and oversee maintenance and repairs on a variety of heavy

equipment used in environmental dredging, restoration,

composting, material recovery, stormwater management, and

water/wastewater treatment.

• Diagnose mechanical problems, devise repair strategies, and ensure

all equipment is operating efficiently and safely.

• Coordinate maintenance schedules with operational teams to

minimize downtime and support continuous project progress.

• Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and

equipment performance.

• Mentor and support junior mechanics, promoting a skilled and

collaborative team environment.

• Adhere to and enforce strict environmental and safety standards in all

maintenance and repair tasks.

• Continuously update knowledge on the latest technologies and

practices in environmental service mechanics to enhance service

quality and operational efficiency.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a mechanic with a strong background in heavy

equipment maintenance and repair.

• In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems involved in environmental

dredging, restoration, composting, material recovery, stormwater,


and water/wastewater management.

• Exceptional problem-solving abilities with the capacity to work

independently or as part of a team.

• Strong leadership and communication skills, with a focus on team

development and training.

• Relevant mechanical certification or degree is preferred.

• Must have a valid driver's license and ability to travel within

Montgomery County as necessary.
