We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Construction Laborer Foreman to oversee
daily operations on construction sites. The ideal candidate will lead a team of craft employees,
ensure strict adherence to safety standards, and maintain quality while keeping projects on time
and within budget. This position requires prior experience working on cast-in-place segmental
bridges. The candidate must be knowledgeable in standard formwork, form traveler operations,
pier table construction sequencing, strand jacking, critical lifting with complex rigging, hydraulic
jacks, and working at heights on tall bridge structures.
Responsibilities:
● Supervise and coordinate activities of construction workers and subcontractors.
● Review project plans and specifications to maintain compliance with quality standards.
● Collaborate with the Superintendent to schedule work assignments and optimize
workflow.
● Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to project leadership.
● Enforce safety regulations and uphold a safe working environment.
● Conduct safety meetings; explain work procedures in detail to the crew.
● Serve as an OSHA-defined “competent person” on the jobsite.
● Perform site inspections and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
● Provide guidance to employees on proper techniques and safety practices.
● Address conflicts and resolve issues that arise on the jobsite.
● Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and labor hours.
● Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and architects to support project goals.
● Inspect subcontractor work to ensure conformance with project specifications.
Qualifications:
● High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in construction management
or related fields preferred.
● Minimum 3 years of experience in the construction industry; supervisory experience
preferred.
● Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.
● Excellent leadership, communication, and team management skills.
● Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
● Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
● Proficiency in basic math, including rate, ratio, and percent calculations.
● Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas.
Work Environment:
● Regular exposure to outdoor weather conditions.
● Exposure to moving mechanical parts.
● Occasional exposure to fumes, airborne particles, and vibration.
● Typically loud noise levels in the work environment.
● Required use of personal protective equipment, including hard hats, safety glasses,
gloves, ankle-supporting safety-toed work boots, and safety vests.
