Electrical Installations: Perform electrical installations including wiring, conduit work, switchgear, and lighting in compliance with local and national electrical codes.
Troubleshooting & Repairs: Diagnose and repair electrical issues to ensure systems are operating efficiently and safely.
Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance checks on electrical systems, ensuring all components are functioning correctly and replacing or repairing faulty parts as necessary.
Compliance: Adhere to all local, state, and national electrical codes, as well as company safety protocols and procedures.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including installation, maintenance, and repair activities.
Collaboration: Work closely with other trades, including civil engineers, project managers, and construction workers, to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems within the overall project.
Safety: Ensure that all work is performed in a safe manner, utilizing personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhering to OSHA regulations.
Training: Provide guidance and training to apprentice electricians as needed.
Qualifications:
Journeyman Electrician License in the state of New Mexico is preferred but not required.
Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Journeyman Electrician, with specific experience in civil construction projects preferred.
Knowledge: Strong understanding of electrical systems, blueprints, and schematics, with the ability to interpret and apply them in the field.
Skills: Proficient in using electrical tools and equipment, with a strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting heavy objects, standing for extended periods, and working in various weather conditions.
