This position requires the ability to complete basic engineering design tasks involving building load analysis, as well as the layout of HVAC and plumbing systems. In addition, this position requires an understanding of building load analysis data and the ability to select HVAC and plumbing equipment, including unitary equipment, airside and hydronic equipment, exhaust fans, plumbing fixtures, and water heaters. Candidate should be proficient in setting up drawings and completing projects with minimal supervision. The candidate will design HVAC systems and will prepare construction documents from schematic design through the construction phase. Candidate will represent the firm in all interactions with clients, contractors, architects, and other project team members.

  •  bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering is required.
  • Professional Engineering licensure is strongly preferred but not a requirement.
  • A minimum of five years of experience in building systems engineering is desired.
  • The candidate should have the ability to execute the design and preparation of contract documents with minimal supervision.
  • The candidate should have the ability to assist clients with planning the HVAC and plumbing aspects of projects.
  • The Candidate should be capable of managing project scope, schedule, and budget.
  • Knowledge of Autocad MEP and/or Revit, along with knowledge of basic building codes, is required.
  • Strong communication skills, a desire to learn, the ability to self-manage, and interpersonal skills are essential.
