SiteWorker is seeking a High Voltage Electrician to support power generation and distribution at

one of the world’s most comprehensive industrial parks. The infrastructure consists of a blend of

classic and modern industrial assets, requiring a professional with broad industrial and utilities

expertise. This role involves maintaining high voltage electrical distribution systems (with

voltages ranging from 480V to 34.5KV) to ensure uninterrupted power supply and performing

installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance tasks.


Essential Duties:

● Maintain clear and consistent communication about the status, performance, and needs

of assigned locations with team supervisors, maintenance planners, and operations staff.

Address all customer concerns promptly and effectively.

● Assist in developing standard preventive maintenance routines to ensure maximum

equipment uptime and lifespan.

● Aid in creating corrective maintenance job plans to ensure timely equipment repairs and

maintain system redundancies for optimal emergency performance.

● Coordinate with maintenance planners for routine and emergency shutdown planning,

including notifying end-users.

● Complete all planned maintenance routines and document actions in the work order

management system (MAXIMO®).

● Carry out corrective maintenance tasks as assigned and record all actions in MAXIMO®.

● Support overhaul, upgrade, or modernization activities within assigned locations.

● Supervise outside contractors to ensure compliance with safety policies and maintain

high standards of workmanship.

● Conduct tests such as transformer insulation resistance, transformer turns ratio,

high-current injection, fuse continuity, protective relay testing, and cable testing.

● Collaborate with the larger team during major emergencies or catastrophic failures.


Equipment Competencies:

● High Voltage Systems: 13,800Kv Electrical Generation systems, buses, bus ties,

load-centers, and other metal-clad switchgear systems.


● Medium Voltage Systems: 2400vAC electrical systems, transformers, motors, motor

starters, and other switchgear systems.

● Switchgear & Control Systems: Circuit breakers, protective relay systems, automatic

transfer switches, voltage control, excitation systems, and battery charging systems.


Soft Skills Competencies:

● Excellent and clear communication skills.

● Ability to work independently or in a team environment.

● Strong electrical and mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.

● Adherence to procedures, work instructions, and safety/environmental regulations.

● General knowledge of computer applications, including Microsoft Office® and IBM

Maximo®.


Education and Experience:

● High school diploma or GED required.

● Armed Forces training, documented electrical apprenticeship training, or equivalent field

experience required.

● An applicable Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree is preferred but not required.


Qualifications and Licenses:

● Knowledge of NFPA 70E Standard for Electrical Safety in the Workplace.

● Familiarity with the current National Electrical Code.

● Must obtain safety operator licenses for fork trucks, man lifts, and scissor lifts within 12

months (Employer Provided).

● OSHA 10-hour certification required upon hire.

● OSHA 30-hour certification required within 12 months.

● Valid driver’s license is required.


Work Environment:

● Industrial setting with both indoor and outdoor work required, including extreme

temperatures and conditions ranging from manholes and building basements to rooftops.

● Exposure to chemical areas, noisy environments, and dirty areas.


● Operation of heavy-duty machinery and vehicles, including boom lifts (man lifts), scissor

lifts, fork trucks, and power-walkie trucks.


Physical Demands:

● Requires strenuous effort, climbing, stair climbing, and crawling for equipment isolation

and material movement.

● Lifting and carrying equipment up to 50 lbs, with occasional movement of heavier items

such as refrigeration cylinders and chemical drums.

● Potential for confined space entry, including manholes and utility tunnels.
