job.description: The Hazardous Liquids Transloader primary responsibility is to safely and efficiently unload/load sand and hazardous liquids in/out of rail cars/trucks within the facility. Be sure that operators /truck personnel are following the proper guidelines when picking up at the facility.
Open to candidates in Midland, Big Spring, and Odessa area. Terminal is currently located in Big Spring, TX.
Job Duties:
- Safely transload various materials consisting of both hazardous and non-hazardous bulk liquids and dry bulk products
- Operate a locomotive and perform rail switch operations
- Operate trans-loading equipment including an air compressor, transfer pumps, portable conveyor system, portable trans-loader and hand tools
- Operate mobile equipment including passenger vehicles, and light and heavy utility vehicles
- Engage in professional interaction and collaboration with other Team Members and customers
- Participation in hazardous material handling and safety training programs
- Assist with general maintenance, clean-up, and any other duties as assigned
- Ability to troubleshoot and make repairs to various types of equipment (hydraulic, electrical, pneumatic, etc.)
- Strong mechanical skills are preferred
- Must be able to follow written and/or verbal instructions with minimal supervision
- Ability to travel to other sites as needed

- Must be able to work in outdoor temperatures (hot and cold temperatures)
- You must be able to work weekends, and overtime work as needed
- Basic math and computer skills are essential
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid Drivers license, must have valid transportation to and from the terminal.
Must be physically able to do the following:
- Climb on and off rail-car and locomotive ladder
- Operate rail-car hand brakes & switches
- Consistently sit, kneel, squat, bend, stand and climb on elevated surfaces
- Be able to climb and work at high heights
- Work, walk, and stand on uneven ballast surfaces for long periods of time
- Lift 15 lbs. and work safely with this weight at knee, waist and shoulder level
- Lift up to 50 lbs consistently throughout the course of a shift
- Operate basic hand tools
- Wear required PPE including FR clothing
