The Fencing Labor Hand is responsible for supporting the installation of perimeter fencing on a utility-scale solar construction site. This position performs physically demanding tasks under the supervision of the Fencing Foreman to ensure the fence is installed according to project specifications and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

●    Clear and prepare fence line by removing brush, debris, and obstacles.

●    Assist in marking layout and spacing for fence posts.

●    Install fence posts using manual or powered tools (e.g., post drivers, augers).

●    Unroll, stretch, and secure chain link, wire mesh, or similar fencing materials.

●    Attach fencing to posts using ties, fasteners, or clamps.

●    Install barbed wire, tension wire, and other security components as directed.

●    Assist with the assembly and installation of gates.

●    Load, unload, and organize fencing materials and tools.

●    Maintain tools and ensure work area is clean and organized.

●    Follow all OSHA and site-specific safety protocols, including proper PPE use.

●    Support general labor tasks as needed across the project site.

Qualifications:

●    Previous experience in fencing, construction, or general labor preferred.

●    Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and terrain conditions.

●    Physically capable of lifting up to 75 lbs and performing manual labor for extended periods.

●    Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or long hours as required.

●    Strong work ethic and ability to take direction from supervisors.

●    Valid driver’s license preferred but not required.

●    Must be reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious.

Physical Requirements:

●    Standing, walking, lifting, and bending throughout the workday.

●    Use of hand and power tools.

●    Exposure to outdoor elements including sun, wind, and temperature changes.
