We are seeking a hardworking and reliable Labor Groundhand to assist with both new installations and maintenance repairs of fiber optic infrastructure. This role involves physical labor, working with tools and equipment, and supporting fiber optic installation and repair crews in the field. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to follow safety procedures at all times.

Key Responsibilities:

●    Pull fiber wiring through conduits, ducts, and other pathways for both new installations and repair work.

●    Proof conduit to ensure it is clear, continuous, and ready for cable installation or replacement.

●    Operate an air compressor to blow a line in conduit for cable-pulling preparation.

●    Assist with setup, cleanup, and maintenance of work areas and tools.

●    Follow all company safety policies, OSHA regulations, and site-specific safety requirements.

●    Communicate effectively with team members to ensure efficient workflow.

●    Perform additional labor tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Qualifications:

●    Previous experience in construction, utilities, or fiber installation/repair is preferred but not required; training will be provided.

●    Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and environments.

●    Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing physically demanding tasks for extended periods.

●    Willingness to learn and follow technical and safety instructions.

●    Basic knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and pneumatic equipment is a plus.

●    Reliable transportation to job sites.

Work Environment:

●    Field-based work with exposure to outdoor conditions, noise, and heavy equipment.

●    May require travel to various job sites depending on project needs.
