We are seeking an experienced Electrical Foreman to lead and oversee a commercial electrical project. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising crews, ensuring work is completed on schedule, maintaining safety compliance, and coordinating with project managers and subcontractors. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced construction environment.

 

 

Key Responsibilities:

●    Supervise and direct electrical crews on commercial job sites, ensuring quality work and adherence to project specifications.

●    Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and project plans.

●    Plan, assign, and oversee daily tasks for electricians and apprentices.

●    Ensure compliance with local, state, and national electrical codes and safety regulations.

●    Inspect and troubleshoot electrical systems, components, and equipment.

●    Maintain project schedules and coordinate with other trades to prevent delays.

●    Order and manage materials, tools, and equipment needed for projects.

●    Conduct safety meetings and enforce company safety policies.

●    Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and other stakeholders.

●    Train and mentor electricians and apprentices to enhance team performance.

 

Qualifications & Requirements:

 

Experience: Minimum of 5 years in commercial electrical work, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.

 

Education: High school diploma or equivalent; technical school training is a plus.

 

License/Certifications: Journeyman or Master Electrician License preferred; OSHA 30 certification is a plus.

 

Skills:

●    Strong knowledge of NEC codes and commercial electrical installations.

●    Ability to lead a team and manage multiple tasks effectively.

●    Proficient in reading blueprints, layouts, and electrical drawings.

●    Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.

●    Strong communication and organizational skills.

 

Physical Requirements:

●    Ability to work in various conditions, including heights, confined spaces, and adverse weather.

●    Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
