job.description: We are looking for a skilled Civil Foreman to oversee and coordinate civil construction activities on-site. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading field crews, ensuring safety compliance, and maintaining project schedules while delivering high-quality workmanship.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and direct civil construction crews in site preparation, grading, utilities, foundations, and roadwork.
- Ensure work is completed according to project specifications, schedules, and safety standards.
- Coordinate daily tasks with the Superintendent, Project Manager, and subcontractors.
- Monitor workforce productivity, material usage, and equipment operations.
- Enforce safety policies and procedures, conducting site inspections and toolbox talks.
- Maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports and timesheets.
- Assist in problem-solving and troubleshooting construction challenges on-site.
- Ensure adherence to all OSHA and company safety regulations.
- Train and mentor crew members to enhance performance and skill development.
- Communicate effectively with team members, subcontractors, and stakeholders.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Minimum 3+ years of experience as a Civil Foreman or similar role in civil construction.
- Strong knowledge of site development, earthwork, drainage, and concrete structures.
- Ability to read blueprints, plans, and technical drawings.
- Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in construction management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of OSHA safety standards and regulations.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel as needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working on large-scale infrastructure or heavy civil projects.
- Certifications such as OSHA 30, First Aid/CPR, or equipment operation training are a plus.
