Welder Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Select equipment and plan layout, assembly, and welding applying proper welding techniques.
• Lay out, position, align, and fit components together.
• Bolt, clamp and tack-weld parts to secure in position for welding.
• Set up equipment and welds parts, using arc welding equipment.
• May assemble parts by bolting.
• May repair products by dismantling, straightening, reshaping, and reassembling parts using cutting torch, straightening press and other hand tools.
• The ability to work overtime and regular, punctual attendance is required.

Welder Qualifications:

·        Minimum of 3 years’ experience as a welder, preferably on a construction site. 

·        Must be capable of passing a welding certification test which includes SMAW and FCAW processes.

·        Must be able to read and comprehend welding instructions.

·        Must be familiar with blueprints and/or structural drawings.

·        Must be able to read a tape measure.

·        Must have all required welding tools necessary to perform the above-listed duties
