We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Carpenter Foreman to oversee daily operations

on construction sites. The ideal candidate will lead a team of craft employees, ensure strict

adherence to safety standards, and manage projects to be completed on time, within budget,

and to high-quality standards.

This position specifically requires prior experience working on cast-in-place segmental

bridges and familiarity with specialized activities such as standard formwork, form traveler

operations, pier table construction sequencing, strand jacking, critical lifts involving complex

rigging, hydraulic jacks, and working at heights on tall bridge structures.


Responsibilities:

● Supervise and coordinate daily activities of construction crews and subcontractors.

● Review project plans, blueprints, and specifications to verify compliance with quality and

safety standards.

● Work with the Superintendent to schedule tasks and manage workflow to optimize

productivity.

● Monitor project progress and provide regular updates to site management.

● Enforce safety regulations, conduct daily safety briefings, and maintain a safe, organized

job site.

● Act as a designated “competent person” for safety oversight on site.

● Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with company policies, procedures, and

safety practices.

● Guide and instruct craft employees on work techniques and safe work practices.

● Identify and resolve conflicts or issues on the job site, escalating when necessary.

● Maintain accurate records of work completed, materials used, and labor hours.


● Collaborate closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align

work with overall project goals.

● Inspect subcontractor work to ensure it meets required specifications and standards.


Required Skills and Experience:

● High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications in construction management

or a related field are preferred.

● Minimum of 3 years of experience in the construction industry, with supervisory

experience preferred.

● Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and safety regulations.

● Proven leadership and team management abilities.

● Effective communication and problem-solving skills.

● Ability to read and interpret blueprints, project schedules, and technical drawings.

● Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

● Competency in basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division,

percentages, ratios, etc.).

● Ability to clearly communicate information and instructions to others.


Work Environment:

● Regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions.

● Exposure to moving mechanical parts and construction equipment.

● Must be able to wear personal protective equipment including hard hat, safety glasses,

gloves, steel-toe boots, and safety vest.


Physical Demands:

● Must be able to traverse uneven and steep terrain.
