A leading professional renewable energy services firm is seeking an experienced Apprentice Electrician for an extensive pipeline of upcoming electric vehicle charging station installation projects in Coalinga, California region. This individual will be responsible for electrical wiring, electronic installation, testing, alteration, maintenance and repair of electrical systems and related equipment under the Master Electrician.

• Works under the direct supervision of Master Electrician performing conduit installation, wire pulls and terminations, assists with equipment placement and anchoring
• Site based, expected to be qualified to local standards, assisting team in cable terminations and system build, working in single and three phase systems up to 480V, temporary electrical systems and generators

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Measures, cuts, bends, threads, assembles and installs electrical conduit using such tools as a hacksaw, pipe threader, rules and conduit benders.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment and identify hazards.
• Installation of cable glance.
• Must have wiring and cable installation by machine, hand and in cable trays.
• Must be able to troubleshoot.
• Is responsible for making final electrical connections including Voltages at 480v/3 phase after installation of conduit.
• Design layout and installation of electrical wiring based on job specification.
• Observes functioning of installed equipment or system to determine hazards and need for adjustments, relocation or replacement.
• Ability to read and understand electrical one-line diagrams.
• Works under direct supervision of Master electrician
• Assists in site clean up

Minimum Requirements:

• Minimum of 1-3 years' industrial electrical experience with experience working under the supervision of Journeymen/Master electrician
• Currently enrolled/working towards journeyman level a plus.
• Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices and procedures within particular field
• Works under general supervision
• Valid CA driver’s license; Non-negligent driving record
• Be able to work late and on weekends when required
• Satisfactory results from a background check
