Position Overview:  

The Aftermarket Field Service Advisor acts as liaison between the client and the service technician and works as the coordinator in scheduling service for clients. The service advisor also works with the technician team to ensure work is distributed equitably among service technicians. The Aftermarket Field Service Advisor should be familiar with equipment such as VRU, Combustors, Flares, etc. This person should also have a positive attitude and the ability to think outside of the box to find solutions for the customers and the company.

 

Essential Job Functions:

  • Meeting with customers to discuss their needs for field/shop repairs
  • Creating price estimates and time needed for repairs, rebuilds, pm quotes as required
  • Requesting parts needed
  • Scheduling service to specific jobs
  • Communicating the needs of customers to your service technicians
  • Communicating information regarding parts, Work Orders, costs, warranties, time,
  • Communicating Work Order statuses to customers and relaying any additional work needed and associated costs
  • Tracking job status from notification to billing
  • Communicate within the company to ensure customer satisfaction is achieved
  • Review field tickets for assigned accounts for accuracy and final approval
  • Maintain assigned rental fleet assets, for billing, repairs, pm, location, condition and utilization
  • Provide performance reports for external and internal customers as needed
  • Other miscellaneous duties as assigned

·        Communicate effectively with all other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and deadlines are met

·        Attend selected oilfield seminars, conferences and/or exhibits as required

·        Attend Customer trainings as needed

·        Travel as required in the normal conduct of business

·        Build customer relations with positive and professional communications

·        Stay abreast of the competition’s activity as well as any needed improvements of our business/operational practices or rates

·        Satisfies customers immediate needs, making sure we provide quality work while exercising high integrity methods.

·        Presents a menu of recommended maintenance and additional services to every client

·        Ascertains the needs of clients, collecting information necessary for service or repair diagnosis

·        Provides clients with an accurate estimate of repair or maintenance costs, and/or a minimal diagnostic fee with explanation of associated costs

·        Informs clients of repair diagnosis, sell repairs and services needed or required for proper operation

·        Forwards repair or service estimate changes to client following technician's diagnosis

·        Verbally and in writing communicates warranty information regarding services or product sales provided to customer

·        Follows up progress of each repair order during the day and contact clients by phone or e-mail twice daily to notify them of any changes to the status or estimated time of completion of their Advises clients of potential consequences if repairs are not made

·        Handles minor client concerns or misunderstandings repair, and document changes on repair order

·        Replies to voice and e-mail messages in a timely manner where either internal or external clients are concerned

·        Notifies clients when repairs are completed and product is ready for delivery

·        Reviews and explains repairs and associated costs with client upon completion of service

·        Documents verbal, in person, and written approvals on repair orders and add-on sales

·        Keeps Service Manager informed of all problems and potential problems involving clients, repairs, and equipment

·        Notifies technicians of changes to repair status

·        Maintains a record of status of special order parts

·        Attends department meetings as needed

 

Basic Qualifications:

 

·        High School Diploma or equivalent

·        Intermediate sales training

·        All certifications relevant to the industry

 

Position Criteria:

·        Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Field Service coordination, and dispatching the day-to-day services

·        Oilfield service industry experience preferred

·        Computer skills

Preferred Qualifications:

·       Knowledge of VRU, Compressors, Combustor, PLC’s, ECD’s, and field service activities in Permian Basin.
